Descartes Cogito

"Begins with the views of a typical 17th century frenchman, razes them to the ground, builds them back up fro m the cogito, and they are again the exact same typical views of a 17th century frenchman, which is convenient."

-- source forgotten, look up later

Trying to isolate the cogito is about as a believable as performing heart surgery on a tick suspended in a teacup of oatmeal with a pair of chainsaws in the middle of a blizzard.
