I still don't really understand this thing. Hence I have nothing substantive to say about it, except that it clearly indicates that Marcel Duchamp was really 'out there' in more ways than one.
Aaron, Duchamp was a freakin' genius. Seriously, you should study him. We have a book all about him--it may even be mainly about this piece. Turns out, I think the director of the Austin Museum of Art (Dana Friis-Hansen) did a substantial thesis on this one work. I'm sure he would love to discuss.
